🩺 Procedure

A provider numbs a small spot on your arm and places the implant using a placement device. The procedure usually takes less than a minute. You'll have a small bandage and can go home right after. Please come to your visit with your questions and a summary of your medical history, including the date of your last period. This method will require numbing medication and a procedure. You may be asked to change into a medical gown. Please keep in mind that clinic registration and visit processes vary by location.

📅 First Weeks

Mild soreness or bruising near the spot is normal for a few days. Most people forget it's there after a week. Some acne, headaches, or mood changes can happen early on.

🩸 Periods

Some experience lighter periods, others random spotting, prolonged bleeding, or no period at all.

❌ Removal

When you're ready, a provider can take it out. Removal is often slower and more uncomfortable than placement. Fertility returns immediately after removal.
